SOURCE: My camera won't turn on!

Here in my side...

I do suggest that you have to set the correct battery settings in the camera...

Advised to set the correct battery type.
- Press on MENU button
- Press on the right button until you see SETUP 2
- Scroll down until you see BATTERY TYPE
- Select ALKALINE if you're using NON-RECHARGEABLE
- Select Ni-MH if you're using RECHARGEABLE
- Press on OK/MENU button for changes to be saved

For other camera you just have to go to setup... and look for battery type...

SOURCE: I turn camera on. Lens comes out. beep 3 times. turns off.

Everytime I try to turn it on, the lens comes out for about a second, the camera beeps 3 times, the lens retracts and the camera shuts off. The battery is completely charged and the camera is only 4 months old. HELPP :(

SOURCE: S600 Batteries going flat prematurely.

try with another type of alkaline batteries, and see if the camera gets hot during usage. or buy some acumulators with charger, they are not expensive and they have long life. if this not solves the problem it might be something technical, so try to a service. i hope you can use my advice. Good luck!

SOURCE: camera wont stay turned on

I had the same problem - found the answer on another forum: remove battery and memory card, press shutter button twice, replace battery and memory card, and switch on.

Hi, my film camera does not turn on, its quite old, but just today i put in 2 new batteries and a new film, i dont see why it wont turn on, please help

Check for corrosion on the battery contacts. If it's corroded, use the eraser on a pencil to clean them off. If that doesn't work, it's likely something inside the camera that needs to be opened up and inspected/cleaned.

Did it sit for years with batteries in it? You may need to clean corrosion off the battery contacts. Even alkalines and rechargeables can leak.

My penatx a3000 isnt working, i put new batteries in but cant see anything through the lens

Make sure the battery contacts are clean. Scrub them and the contacts inside the camera witha pencil eraser until bright. This may fix the problem since your camera uses the battery power to power everything. If you have a good connection then the mirror should drop. If not then the camera will need to be repaired and becasue of the age and limited parts, I would recommend you find a used one, or update to a new camera.

The camera was unused for several years.

Try to clean the battery contacts on the camera as it became rusty as well. Then install brand new batteries.

WHEN I PUSH THE POWER BUTTON THE LENS OPENS AND EXTENDS OUT THEN INSTANTLY RETRACTS I HAVE PUT 3 SETS OF NEW BATTERIES AND THE SAME HAPPENS I JUST USED IT ABOUT 2 MINUTES PRYER TO THIS PROBLEM

Your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Put new batteries in but there still is no power

Check if your using the recomended batteries for this camera Easyshare C613. The batteries are 2AA Ni-MH batteries, 2 AA Lithium batteries or 2 AA Alkaline batteries. If your use this kind of batteries and they are new out from the box try this steps.
1. Remove the memory card and the battery on the camera
2. Clean the both battery contacts with clean dry cloth
3. Put the battery back in the camera in correctly
4. Set the camera in Auto "it's the camera icon on the dial of the camera."
5. Turn it on
*If it turns ON take photos and review them check if it will stay on
*If it doesn't turn ON or stay ON contact Kodak support line @ 1-800-235-6325 (23KODAK). You can also try to log on to www.kodak.com/go/stepbystep.

I have a Kodak Easyshare C180 digital camera. I open ity, take a picture and then it closes. I then cannot get it open again. I see the on/off button but nothing happens

Is the camera LENs won't retract? Try to use a brand new different recomended batteries like alkaline batteries or lithium batteries. If your using a rechargable batteries make sure that they are fully charge. You can also try to turn the camera ON without using memory card. Remove the memory card on the camera. Then put a new recomended battery, try to turn it ON if the camera will not turn ON or stay ON call kodak support line. Support in English and Spanish is available at 1-800-235-6325 (23KODAK)

With batteries inserted, I turn top dial from off to auto. The green light comes on and is instantly replaced by a red light. The menu display screen remains black when pushed. I'm using new batteries

We put brand new batteries in it + a card. it doesn't work, and i haven't used it for a couple of weeks. What's wrong?

Is this a film camera or a digital?
You don't put cards in film cameras.
Some digital cameras can eat batteries. Some still use power even when switrched off. It may be that it has just flattened the batteries. I had one which used to eat them, i was horrified to discover it still used power when switched off, so i used to remove one battery between shots when i was out and about using it.
