DEAR SIR/MADAM WHEN I TRY TO RECORD MY VOICE VIA MICRO PHONE SINGING WHILE THE CD MUSIC TRACKS ARE PLAYING I COULD NOT RECORD THAT TO THE MINI DISC.PLEASE ADVISE ME HOW COULD I CONNECT IT DIGITALLY

It is much easier to use an analog mixer and microphone thru the mixer. I would plug the microphone into the mike input on the mixer and then the Karaoke machine to stereo LINE inputs on the the Mixer, then Mixer Output or Tape Output on the mixer to analog LINE IN on the MiniDisc recorder.
Let me know if you need more info.

They are all compatible. Any deck or portable player made by Sony, Tascam, etc.

Not play toc reading message

If the Table of Contents is read by a disc that is good but the data that follows may not be compatible such as if it was a Mp3 encoded disc.
This was meant for the newer units that have decoders in them.
If you are playing a commercial made pressed disc- this is the kind you use for testing, then your pickup lens may be dirty or the disc is having too much wobble on the spindle. There are a lot of things to check and that is usually done by a technician who knows how to work on disc units.

Tascam cant insert mini disc

Sounds like the imfamous 'bad disk present switch' that is very common on the Sony model 530. Try a google search for Minidisc switch fix.

How can i acsess the pioneer mj-15 to play long play minidiscs currently says no audio!

The unit can be repaired by the right people- there are not so many of them around. Discs can not be repaired!. Also the model you have may not be compatible with other disc formats that were made at a later time. This disc systems use higher compression and different algorithms.
I have worked on more of my share of these units but mostly Sony and Tascam units. Sony invented the thing.

I have lost the power connector and usb connector for a DR-1 where can I purchase them?

From the looks of the port on the side in the manual, all you need is a USB to Mini USB cable, you can also get a Mini USB AC adapter separately or as part of a combo with the cable. Hope that helps. Here's a picture of a Mini USB tip to ensure that it looks correct.

CD player does not recognise some CDs. When placed in the drawer the deck displays "no disc" if another CD player is used the disc works fine

I have two of these Tascam CD-A500 players, and one more than the other has this problem of not reading some CDs that will play fine in other players. I'm starting to loose faith in this Tascam product. Anyway, seems the consensus is to open it up and check for dirty laser optics. If that doesn't fix the problem, then send it in for repair or scrap it and buy a different brand. I've not had this problem with any other brand CD player, but very suspicious that the same problem happens on BOTH of my Tascam CD-A500 units.

Dear sir or Madam, I have recently bought second hand a Tascam mini disk 301 mk 11 and I believed this had the function of auto stop. I am using it for a dance performance and need the music to stop at...

The difficult way to do this is to use the "Program" function and program only 1 track - it will play then stop; then you will have to program the next track. This is the only way, short of individual disks, or inserting long blank track in between song to do this.

Mini disc recorder question

Just use the first two tracks, one for left and one for right and use the PAN pots to adjust the stereo positioning. Just run the 'tape out' or 'line out' or 'aux out' of the mixer to the REC "IN" on the MiniDisc recorder; hit "record" then the "play" button to start it. Make sure your input selector switch is on ANALOG and not DIGITAL or OPTICAL. Let me know how it works out for you. Okay? Thanks
