Question about Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Smartphone

Nokia 5800 won't recharge

The battery on my nokia 5800 was depleted so i tried to recharge it. however it wouldn't work... that's about all there is. i've had it for a week or 2 and it's usually worked fine. there was an incident before when it turned off by itself and the battery depleted almost instantly but i don't know if that has anything to do with this. i tried taking the battery out and putting it back in but that did nothing either.

Batteries are sometimes faulty from day 1 .
your battery may be a lemon and will need to be replaced .
trying to recharge it may cause phone damages .
My advise to you is to buy a new one .

Battery will not charge

li-Ion batteries have a bad habit: whenever fully depleted, they lose a few cells, to the extent that they might not be able to hold a full charge if enough cells are damaged. In other words, repeatedly using a laptop (or any other Li-Ion powered device) to battery depletion can shorten the battery's life significantly. You might want to keep the batteries fully charged whenever possible and avoid fully depleting them too often.
There is also the habit of "re-setting" the batteries by using the "fully deplete-fully charge" procedure. It only applies to niMH or NiCD batteries ( and is used to erase the "memory effect" ) but is damaging to Li-Ion batteries for the reason mentioned above.
so if your battery can not full charge, this mean you need change a new battery for your laptop

My battery level reduce with in a day after full charge so how to solve the draining problem of my 5800nokia?

If the cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Problem with charging nokia 5800

If your phone was bought in the last 6 months you can go to nokia care center and demand for a new battery and charger or repair the existing ones provided you have the warranty card. You should get it done for free of cost.If 6 months exceeded then

Did u try another charger of the same mobile company,if yes ,and it works ,the problem is with your charger. You can either buy a new charger or get an all battery charger ,a china piece that recharges all batteries of any mobile company. You can get it below 2$ .
If your battery doesn't charge even with other charger of the same company then the problem is with your battery. If you are a nokia user ,here is the price list of all nokia batteries.

My Nokia 5800 will not turn on. It only vibrates.

  1. With your 5800 turned off,
  2. Press and hold [Green] + [Red] + [Camera] Keys
  3. Turn phone ON, and keep pressing it until you see the Nokia Shaking Hands Logo.
The phone will be factory reset. If asked, default code is 12345. My phone did not ask- only the normal SIM PIN.

Turn on problem

Some times, the charging cable from the laptop will not charge a fully depleted battery. If you have not already done so, try charging it using the wall charger that came with the phone.

Hope this works!

Depleted Batteries

Clean the contacts in the battery chamber to get to the bottom of the chamber use an eraser on the end of a pencil Also the top contacts. you could also try packing out the contacts on the tops of the batteries to ensure good contact.
