Question about CD Players
The right side CD player is skipping and stuttering with a number of different CD's indicating it must the CD deck and not the cd's. I find this tends to happen after about 20 minutes of operation and it is only the right hand side deck.
SOURCE: my cd player skips
Unplug the unit, remove the cover and clean the laser lens glass with a Q-tip. Spray a bit of window cleaner on one end of the Q-tip (over a sink), then use that end to clean the objective lens of the laser. Then dry it with the other end. Wipe Carefully!
Do not apply pressure while cleaning, wipe slowly and then reassemble the unit and test. This is a common problem on many laser-based products, dust and smog get inside the unit and cloud the lens, causing it to skip or not read at all.

You're best bet is to replace the stock rubber feet with a true vibration absorbing rubber pad. Audiofiles like myself have discovered that Sorbothane rubber is the best for this application. There is no other material that can even come close to matching it's performance. Get yourself a set of their Sorbothane rubber hemispheres, probably something about a 1" diameter would work best. The best place to get them is Amazon.com.
