Laptop wont boot

Every time I have had this problem, it was either the drive or the drive being reconogized in the BIOS, or a glitch in the operating system. I would go into Setup at the boot up and see if the BIOS is reconogizing the drive. If it does, then I would use the operating system installation CD but not do a install but use the repair feature. In the repair function run "chkdsk /r" many time this will cure a problem. BPCS

Hi, If that doesn't work you could try replacing the connection cable that connects the hard drive to the motherboard. As this happened on both hard drives its either the software on the hard drives (as BPCS suggests) or the connection cables.

I have the exact same problem with my samsung xo5.. Havent found anything that works so far except turning off and on with the power button a few times, eventually it gets over it and boots up. Although now my ac adapter has given up so i cant boot the damn thing even if i wanted to!!
