Sub Zero 650 - Light doesn't go on

I used to be able to press the switch a few times and it miraculously went on... no longer the case. Any idea on how to fix? Could it be as simple as needing a new bulb?

It's either a new bulb needed or a new door switch. Try the bulb first as it's cheaper.

SUb-Zero 650 fridge lighting issue

Just a bad door switch. Turn the unit off, remove the upper grill, then remove the cover over the switches. there are 2. 1 with a black backside, and one that is all white. you want to replace the all white one with a new all white one. it just has 2 wires, doesn't matter what order they go in. pull em off and pop that thing out, then snap the new one into place. all of this should be done with the power off and the door open. Good Luck!

Sub Zero 650/s control board light is out and inside lights out but fridge works.

Hi,

On this model, the lights work with the light switch, if it stick all the light in that section will not work. Parts number 7014646 (about 20 bucks) If only the control display is not illuminated then the bulb behind the control is the only problem.

I hope this helps.

The light in the refrigerator went out and now it is beeping when we open it..we got an estimate of $130 to repair....we wanted to see if we could possibly do it ourselves?

Dear ssala19,

I'm sorry to hear that the lights in your Sub-zero unit are not working. It is unlikely that all the bulbs went out at the same time. You most likely have a bad light switch. If you open the refrigerator door & look upwards you will see two white switches. The switch on the left controls the lights. The part number to this light switch is 7014646. We can supply you with light switch replacement instructions if you contact us directly. Make sure that you turn the unit off at the circuit breaker before changing the light switch.
