Use this USB drive on another working computer to check if your OS has any problem or not. If the drive is detected and you can access the infos stored in this drive, repair your OS, and if not, go to your nearest service center to avail a full replacement or repair.
It should be able to automatically detect and install it. Try using it on another computer that has either Windows XP, Vista , or Windows 7 on it. If it doesn't automatically detect and install it on that one then the flashdrive is dead.
Plug the flash drive into the windows PC first and open "Computer". Find the drive and format it to Fat32 or NTFS. Now plug it into the mac and copy the pictures too it. Now your Windows computer should see the files. Mac will default to making the flash drive use HFS+ filesystem. Windows doesn't recognize this format at all. Mac will see fat32 and ntfs just fine though.
Assuming you already have a flashdrive plugged into the computer with an internet connection, go download a program you want, such as Google Chrome. When it says "Save" or "Run", choose save and save it to your desktop. Once the download is complete, and before installing the program onto the current computer, open the start menu and go to my computer. Plug in your flash drive and it should appear in the My Computer window. Open your flash drive and move the window such that your file on your desktop is visible. Now click and drag the file on your desktop to the flash drive. Once the transfer is complete, remove your flash drive and insert it into the computer that does not have an internet access. Then go to my computer, and locate the flash drive and open it. Move the window such that the desktop in in sight. Click and drag the file from the flash drive to your desktop. Then remove the flash drive and install the program.
Hope this helped,
It is not completely clear if you mean large PC games or if you mean small PC games.
By small PC games I mean games similar to the games that come with Windows and that appear in the 'All Programs -> Games' folder. Such as 'Free Cell', 'Hearts' or 'Solitaire'.
By large games I mean games like 'World of Warcraft' or 'Mortal Combat'.
Also, do you want to install the games on your Flashdrive or store them there?
If you want to store a large game on your flash drive. Place the CD/DVD with the game on it in your CD/DVD drive and insert your Flashdrive in a USB port.
Open 'WIndows Explorer' or 'My Computer'. Locate the CD/DVD drive that you inserted the game disk in (most likely your D: drive).
In the 'Edit' menu select 'Select All' and then in the 'Edit' menu select 'Copy'.
Then locate the Flashdrive in 'WIndows Explorer' or 'My Computer'. And in the 'Edit' menu select 'Paste'.
While this will copy the files from your game's CD/DVD disk to your Flashdrive you may or may not be able to install the game from your Flashdrive.
You can use this same procedure to copy small games to your Flashdrive from your Hard Drive. You will need to know where on your hard drive they are located. And they may or may not run from your Flashdrive.
Also you may be able to install and run games from your Flashdrive, When you run the Setup program from you game disk you will usually be given the option to select a alternative location to install the game. Select your Flashdrive at that point and it may install correctly to your Flashdrive. If it does you should be careful to always use the same USB port or the game won't run.
When the flash memory USB hard drive device appears to malfunction it maybe possible to restore it by reformatting it. Try formatting using Disk manager. Insert the flash or USB hard drive into the USB port then Click on Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management - Disk Management. Then right click on Disk 1 removable drive and click Format. After the flash drive has been formatted it will indicate that it is Healthy.
just try this one. try to insert your flashdrive to a usb port where it is compatible then a message will appear saying open folders to view files then you can now copy and paste a pictures or songs on the pc or on ur flashdrve.
