GE dryer dwsr463eg7ww timer isn't working and doesnt heat up

The heating element assembly warms the air before the air enters the dryer drum. If the dryer won't stop, it may be because the heating element assembly isn't working - which greatly increases the drying time. Check the heating element for continuity. http://www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/How-To-Fix-A-Dryer/7-3-850356-/GE-Dryer-won-t-stop-DWSR463EG7WW

I have a 5 to 7 year old kenmore dryer it runs but does not heat. should i repair or just buy new?

Be sure to check your breakers for dryer some times only one side of the 220v will trip and the dryer will run but it wont heat. The element is the only thing that is 220V. Hope this helps. A 7 year old dryer is not that old most dryers is good for 12 to 15 years.
It would be good to pay a service call and an est. them make the choice to fix or replace

Trying to locate heating element on kitchen aid dryer

Do you have the part number, is so Put in (Find kitchen aid dryer Part# 111111* ) Or( Find kitchen aid dryer heating element* ). If this is a old dryer some parts are not made anymore. Any Dryer over 7 years old is no longer energy efficient. Hope This Helps.

Dryer will not heating up. Only 5 years old

Two possible reasons:

1. The heating element or the temperature sensor is broken.
2. The exhaust vent is obstructed and needs to be cleaned.

Good luck.

Maytag PYE3300AYW Elec Dryer Runs, But No Heat

hello kellygubser,
If you are sure the thermal switch is ok.. have you checked the high temp ( bi metal snap switch) too? Here is a link to the wiring diagram of your dryer. You can see that there are a few other temp switches in circuit of the heating element that would disble it.. Hope this helps
