SOURCE: Battery EXTREMELY Exhausted

As the other person says Nimh rechargable batteries are the best....Also somewhere in the menu system you will find that you need to define which type of battery you are using, this may be the cause...Nikon UK have an excellent after care team if all else fails.

SOURCE: camera wont turn on even with new batteries.

I have the same problem as well. I have had my camera for a bout 2 years. The first time this happened was in March 2007. We had been using regular AA batteries, then we decided to go lithium and bamm! The camera started working. I was elited. Then in the beginning of December 2007, it let me take one last picture and then it wouldn't come on again. The lithiums wouldn't even work. We recently took it to a camera shop and they suggested the same as the other posts. I think it would be cheaper just to buy another camera and I think there should be a recall on this camera, if there are so many other customers having the same issue. I really did enjoy it while it lasted, though.

SOURCE: I keep getting "Battery Exhausted" messages, with new batteries

you have to use only very good quality batteries ...I have a philips..and if I do not put alcaline quality bateries in it ..it do not even power up ....and even with this expensive ones it eats 'em like snacks...
by the way ...keep the batteries inside only when you shoot cause all this new cameras with display and so ...consumes the batteries even when they are powered off ..
my advise is to buy some accumulators the kind you charge on the home power plug.....so in this way .. you will always have strong power into them ..and the cost its worthily ..

SOURCE: Blurry Photos & Batteries Exhausted

I may be able to help with the battery problem. Two suggestions: 1) With a WHITE eraser (preferably at the end of a pencil) rub the metal tabs in the camera that makes contact with the batteries. They may be slightly corroded. DON'T use a pink eraser. A fine sandpaper will also work, but is more difficult to work with inside a small space. 2) The metal tabs may be pushed in too far. You may need to pry them out with a small flat-head screw driver or needle nose pliers. Do so gently.

My Camera says "Battery exhausted!" Even with new (2AA) batteries, this message, and camera won't turn on. What can I do?

Try another two batteries. Make sure they are correctly installed the right way round. If that doesn't work, you need to return the camera to the maker. I had similar with a Megxon.

I'm really not sure about this. But you could try cleaning your camera's battery connection with a (dry) earbud.

Nikon L100 shows battery exhausted error message after installing new batteries. Unable to perform any operations on camera

That's the bug in Nokin L100, update the firmware version from 1.0 to 1.1, this will solve the battery exhaust problem. Firmware version 1.0 has only 2 battery (Alkaline and Lethium) option where as Firmware version 1.1 has Nickle battery also. But, to update the firmware you need to have EH-67 AC Adapter to give power to the camera.

Batteries Exhausted Message on Nikon Coolpix L18

How could I resist assisting someone with the handle 'Charm City'? What I would advise is getting some good quality 2300 mAH or 2500 mAh re-chargeable batteries - although all batteries have a nominal 1.5v output, not all can provide the sustained power necessary for the camera.
