Lap top freezing screen

Within 10 minutes of turning my laptop on I find the screen repeatedly freezes and I again have to reboot? Is it over heating?

You are likely having problems with your RAM. Change your RAM. If problems persist after changing RAM, you likely have some malicious codes running that is eating up your system resources and denying resources to vital programs.

Be sure to scan for root-kits.

Good Luck

If switch off the laptop and you can imediately boot it up again, then it is unlikely an overheating problem.
Have you install any software recently and this problem can up afterwards? Then it could be a software problem, then go to RESTORE and select a restore point date prior to installing the program.
Check in the Device Manager to see if any devices that are not working or enabled, if there are you need to reinstall or update those device drivers.
If you cannot get into the Control Panel/Device Manager because the computer locks up, then reboot, as the computer boots up press F8 and the select Safe Mode, this should get you into Windows with VGA resolution, then you can get into Device manager.

Chances are the cpu fan is bad,or the vents might be blocked.Use compress air and clean the vents.you might want to get the fan replaced as well. This could be the reason why it locks up after ten minutes.
Good luck

HOW DO I UNDER FREZZER MY KINDLE

Hold the power switch for 20 seconds. Slide the power switch and hold it in place for 20 to 30 seconds before releasing it.
  • You need to physically hold the power switch in its off position for this long. Doing so tells your device to "reboot," in essence, instead of merely shutting down.
  • The reboot screen should appear as soon as you release the power switch.

Give the Kindle time to reboot. The Kindle will reboot within a minute or two. Be patient and give your device ample time to finish its reset.
  • There is some possibility that the Kindle will freeze as it reboots. This may be the case if your Kindle stays frozen on the reboot screen for more than ten minutes.
Charge the Kindle. If the device freezes during the reboot or does not respond to the reset at all, plug the charger in and allow your Kindle to charge for 30 minutes or more.
  • Make sure that your Kindle has enough time to complete a full charge.

Hold the power switch down again. After you finish charging the Kindle, slide the power switch and hold it down for another 20 seconds.
  • The reboot screen should appear again. Give the device a minute or two to reboot before checking it again. This should complete the reset.

Image pad light comes on ocassionally, lap top freezes, can not turn off. HP Envy Windows 7

Good Day,
For clarifications, is it that the computer freezes or the mouse pad doesn't work again while the keyboard still works?
Because for your type of laptop, around the top left corner of your mouse pad, there is a small hollow. If you double tap this place, you deactivate the mouse pad and if you repeat the tapping, you activate it. That's why the light there comes on and off. So may be you check it to know if you tap here during your typing.
I hope this helps you? Thank you for using Fizya!

Gateway laptop 450ROG freezes up after it gets hot & screen frzs

This definitely sounds like a heat problem. The system fan should cool it, but there may be a lot of dirt in the heat sink or along the path that the fan blows air. The first thing I would try is to get a can of canned air and blow it into all the vents under and on the side of the computer. If it is dusty, keep your face away.

You didn't say, but if you let the system cool down for a while (maybe 15 minutes or so) and start it up again and the same thing happens, it['s definitely a heat issue.

Could be overheating - can you hear the fan working? Try installing temperature monitoring software such as Speedfan.

Hi.

If the picture & sound are ok in analogue mode then chances are you have problem with digital tuner.
This may be expensive to repair so I would advise connect external freeview box or sky etc to get digi channels using scart to connect to your TV.
