Question about Epson Stylus NX400 InkJet Printer

Unable to scan from Epson TX110 but can print

Printing works fine, but every time I try to scan the following message, "Unable to create a work folder on the current disk, therefore the work folder will be returned to the default location". I have tried to copy the install folder from the cd to my hard drive, as suggested by someone else on this site, but am still having no luck. I am trying to install on my imac, OS X 10.5

    No, haven't solved it and have made it worse by trying to download software. Now it won't scan or print :( I am waiting for my neighbour, (very good with these sorts of problems) to fix it. If he does, then I'll let you know how. My mum also had same problem (not being able to scan) but one day when I was there and she was showing me, the bloody thing worked!!!!!

possible solutions:
-highlight the application then do "command+i" permission should be set to read/write.
-run repair disk utility. check for any permission errors.
-try a different admin acoount then reinstall the software
-call Mac - honestly it's an OS issue

I have an epson stylus TX110 and it was printing fine today, but then as is sent a job from adobe it prepared to print (made usual noises) but then didnt take any paper and just went quiet. I've tried...


Try purging your temp files. If it's a usb connection try a different usb port. Since it can print from scan and do a test nozzle print then it's not getting data from the pc to the printer. If a different port doesn't work either, and if purging your temp files doesn't work try it on a different computer if possible. You may need to reinstall the driver for it.

oh and make sure you don't end up with one of those 'oh duh' moments :) ... check both ends of the cable to make sure it didn't become loose or unplugged :)

Follow this procedures

Go to START MENU
Select Commad prompt and right click & runs as administrator (For Windows Vista or Windows).
Type the letter "cmd"
Type the word "net stop spooler"
Exit
Go to C drive
Choose to Windows Folder
Click show content
Choose system32 folder
Choose spool folder
Choose printer
And delete all printing jobs pending
Again go back to CMD window and type the word "net start spooler"
Restart your computer also turn off your printer and switch it on.
It will work fine right now

did you mix the standard capacity cart and high capacity cart?
Try using all the same capacity cart... but most of the time, it's the ink cart chipset that is faulty... regardless whether it;s new or used.. the chipset is a small eprom located at the bottom front of the ink cart..

Epson workforce 500 will not scan


All is well! I just followed some other person's solution (at a more responsive forum!) by downloading the latest .exe files from Epson and now everything is working just fine. thanks for answering my post above....ha, ha, ha. :)

Mac OSX 10.4.11 Error when installing the Epson NX400


If you're running the install program from the install disk CD, it may be attempting to create a work folder on the CD instead of your hard drive. I would drag a copy of the install program onto your hard drive first and then launch the copy on your hard drive.

Scanner error message. Will print from PC fine


The Scanner has died. If you Know someone else who has the same model but is not printing but scanning fine you can swop over the scanners. This solution don't work 100% of the time but i have fixed a few this way.
