- Hey
rockhead255,
Good for you, my FAV6800AW is a series 16 also first two digits of your S/N is the machine Series Number.
Your Clutch Pulley assembly will not use the upper One-Way Roller Clutch bearing as mine.
A few parts are series sensitive.
As I state in my step by step
post use this
Clothes Washer Clutch - 25001169 why pay more.
I feel it can be used in all series of the FAV6800AW or FAV9800AW machines.
I like AZ they ship fast and give you a price point reference but order from who you feel will meet your needs.
You took a $1K machine with poor design issues and squeezed a little more life out of it.
YOU’RE THE MAN!
Watch out for a Tub Seal leak, did you see much evedience of a seal leak from the Clutch inspection?
Also watch out for corrosion issues with that Left Hand Lid Lock OP,OD,FL error codes.
I removed the Right Hand Lid Lock and threw it away.
Tape up the plug end and for wire chaffing protection when you start in with those errors codes.
You only need the Left Lid Lock for the machine to work as designed. It makes troubleshooting easier to keep it simple.
Did I make a mistake on the 3/8” clutch pulley bolt on direction of rotation for removal?
I may have. It's a tight work area for sure, and at 62 it's getting a bit harder to do this DIY stuff. I did not want to spend $300 + for something I can take on.
Take care and good luck…. This machine is very repairable just watch ebay for used parts (except clutch) :).
