Question about Sony Televison & Video

1 Answer

The Sony TV remote doesn't work (with good batteries).

The red light on the TV button comes on when buttons are pushed but nothing else works. It doesn't control any TV functions. The Direct TV remote can control the TV but Sony's remote can't. Sony Trinitron KV20FV300

Why am I unable to hit the red Netflix button on my Roku remote and have Netflix come on my TV. Nothing has changed, I haven't unplugged anything in the back of the TV or receiver, have replaced the

There is a good chance the remote is defective. You may try installing Netflix from the channel store and and using it like other channels. The other thing would be to uninstall Netflix and then reinstall it. It is possible the info for login is corrupt or the Netflix contact on the remote is bad. Hitting the reset button should not cause any harm but will restore the remote to it's original state. If you know someone with another Roku, any model , try that remote to prove it. Good Luck!

I can't get the remote to work at all. It will not even turn on the tv Is there a code you need to put in? I have changed batteries, I have pressed tv/sat and tv/video power saving, freeze I also pushed...

Hi,
Lets check remote is working or not.
Watch remote front through any digital camera and press buttons on remote, if you see blinking light on remote front that means remote is sending infra red signals and if no blinking light then remote is defective and no way to fix it.
Thanks.

Try with the philips this method:
Manually turn on the tv or the device to be controlled.
Push and hold the code search button until the red lights stand. Now release the button push and release the tv button, then you got to push and release the on off button until the device turn off stop push and release the enter button.
You might need to push the on off button 1 to 150 times.
Good luck

When I push in the program little hole, a red light used to come on .

There is possibly some soda or something sticky blocking the connection. Put some 91% alcohol on a q-tip and work it around the button to break up any sticky food stuffs.

9 out of 10 button problems I see is due to Soda,Tea,Candy,Baby Saliva.
