Question about Apple iPod nano
Try resenting it, with the Hold switch showing white, hold down the "Menu" and the middle button for about 7-8 seconds.
Hope this helps!

First you need to reset the unit
1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.
If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be presentFollow the steps that i have outlined below. If this does not completely help your situation please let me know and i will be glad to assist you.According to Apple, if you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the IPod by doing the following: 1 If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs. . . Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of the iPod Nano. 2 Plug the other end of the iPod USB cable into a free USB port on a Mac or PC computer. 3 Open the iTunes application by clicking on the Dock icon on a Mac or using the Start menu on a PC. 4 Click on the name of your iPod Nano under the "Devices" list in the iTunes window.
Click on the "Sync" button to establish a connection between your iPod and the computer.
Click on the eject symbol next to your iPod's name after the syncing process has finished.
Unplug your iPod Nano. The device will be unlocked and you will be able to access all normal features
if that does not work you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note
that this will erase all data on your iPod.
Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
Apple also notes that company "representatives cannot unlock an iPod if you forget your combination.
If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is
to restore the
IPod, which will erase all music and data."
