It most likely is the belt this might sound dangerous but with the vac on its side turn it on if the rollerbrush isnt spinning change belt real easy take screws off bottom cover pull it off and the belt is supposed to be hooked around motor pulley and the roller u can tell if it needs belt,

this can be tricky and dangerous if you are not familiar. The cord winder had a metal coil system that spins very fast.Sometime people pull the cord too far out causing the coil to seize. To get to the winder slide off the "Electrolux" slide off[located on the sides of the vacuum] Your best bet is to take it to a vacuum repair shop. Before trying anything take a flat screw driver and puch it in the hole where the cord comes out and push it in,sometimes this fixes the problem sorry I cant tell you more as it is hard to explain the procedure....Please be careful.
I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC25. If the wand is difficult to remove from the cleaner, it may be due to the hose being twisted when you replaced the wand on the machine after the last time you used it.
This is easy to correct - please follow the steps shown in the video below.

Yes, it is a ground wire. When you put it back together, make sure that the two halves of the hose handle are holding the wire up against the metal. I just had one apart the other day for the first time and if I recall correctly, the wire goes near the center for reassembly. Hope this helps!

It's a little difficult for me to describe but here goes...the part is the small metal "pins" that are found in the connection between the hose and the motorized floor attachment. There are normally 2 found in that area, they are about an inch long and I guess they pass the electricity between the hose and attachment. Any help is appreciated. Hello, I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. It sound so me that it could be a lower wand with the pins in the end or the part of the power nozzle and the part that the lower wand fits into is called the gooseneck and that can be replaced as well. If it is part of the hose then you may have to replace the hose and that could be expensive or over $100.00 or more, as an estimate. The best place to get the information is the owner’s manual under trouble shooting or to cal the Fantom factory of which I will provide for you @ the bottom; or your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions. http://www.fantom.com/Customer Tech Support 1-800-798-7398 Hours are Monday thru Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (EST) Thanks, Don the Vac Man Go Ahead. The water comes out the hose at the same time. The diverter only diverts the suction from floor to attachment. If it is constantly spraying there is a problem with the attachment. Is it not spraying on the floor?
Do you have a manual for the vacuum? My manual says to raise the headlight hood and then flip out the l-shaped handle on the belt lifter and turn it until the red arrows line up. Turn the accessory lock all the way to the left and the front should lift off. Then take the attachment hose and hook the two hooks over the bar and then push the hose up against the vacuum and lock into place by turning lever to the right. Does this help? Its kinda hard to explain without the pics.
