Question about Cub Cadet Street Sign- tractor lawn riding mower parts

I have a Cub Cadet that stops running 10-20 seconds after start up. It was left out during a hard rain(if that helps). Any suggestions on how to solve this problem.

The rain may have put enough water in the tank to make it not want to run.
Draining the fuel out of the bottom of the tank may help get the water out of the tank. A product like "seaform" gas addictive will help clean out the moisture out of the tank.

MY PUSHMOWER WILL START AND STOP AFTER ONE MINUTE

An engine that will start, but will only run for a short period of time will often have one of the following causes:

*Defective or inoperative choke or primer.

* Water or dirt contamination in fuel system.

* Broken, cracked, or clogged fuel lines.

* A dirty fuel filter

* A carburator out of adjustment.

If this usually happens during cold starts, then you may have a situation where the primer or choke is not working properly.

Check the cap on the fuel tank and make sure that it is vented properly.

I sure hope this helps you and good luck.

Problem with left side hydrostatic transmission

This is a well documented problem with cub cadet ZT transmissions. They tend to go bad after 200 hours of use. Sometimes having the dealer change the transmission oil will help (they need to remove the transmissions to do this!). Most times, the transmission is gone & must be replaced ($800-$900).

Sound to me like a design defect. My ZT-50 lasted only 4 years. Needless to say, the replacement was not a cub cadet.
