Question about Toshiba 26AV52R LCD TV
When the Tv is on the picture seems too large for the screen. The ticker tape along the bottom of the screen does not fit. How do I make the picture fit the screen?

SOURCE: ilo lcd tv..picture too large??
I had the same problem and tried everything with the tv to get it back to normal. I would look for what was suggested by tvtek, but also look on your cable remote or box for an "aspect" button. That fixed my problem. If your problem occurs with DVDs as well then you may have another issue, but if it is with cable only, try this. When I called our cable company the tech said alot of people this button without even knowing it.

SOURCE: Adjusting screen on HD TV
Normallly, if the picture size button on the remote for the television does not achieve the desired affect, then, a cable box or a satelite box is where the change needs to be made.
A Motorola Cable box needs to be set up to go to a wide screen or zoom when an analog signal is detected.
Some Dish Network boxes have Size buttons on their remotes and also in their main menu.
It's difficult to determine the repair without knowing the types of the peripherals.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Picture is too big for screen
Go into the setup menu of the TV, and you'll find a category called DISPLAY or ZOOM. That's where you can change the aspect ratio so that it fits on the screen. You'll probably get a gray band on the top and bottom of the screen due to the re-sizing.

SOURCE: Comcast picture won't fit in
What you see is called overscan - full explanation here
On your tv it can be removed only when the tv is in PC mode, with the signal coming thru the VGA connector.
