Refrigerator icemaker repair

The ice maker does its own thang. All it needs is power and a good water valve to supply the water. Also you paid the water bill helps too. Anywho when the temp in the ice maker mold drops below 25f the harvest cycle begins. The mold heater is activated and loosens the ice. When the ice starts moving the heater shuts down and the motor carrys over and drops the ice. The ice maker then asked for and gets water from the water valve. So what goes wrong? Watervalve solenoid burnt out, water valve dripping like a faucet make a stalagmite in the fill tube blocking fresh water to ice mold. If that is ok then something inside the icemaker went haywire, replace it. When replacing the ice maker replace the watervalve. Note: if temp inside icebox freezer does not get to 25f any ice maker new or existing ain't gonna make ice. Be sure to clean the coils down by the compressor and the kickplate so the maximum amount of airflow is running down there and make sure the cardboard panel back there is in place.

Water freezing in tube to icemaker

Change the water control valve because it is not shutting off once the ice maker is full. The valve is sticking open slightly once power is off to water valve. What is the model number of your Kenmore Elite Model numbers for Kenmore most times look like this example=> 321.456789 Sea Breeze

My freezer is not freezing anymore please help as can not afford a new one ..thank you

Hi,
Follow the steps mentioned below to solve the problem:
First remove the ice bin and look inside the mold of the ice maker to see if it is full of ice. If the ice sensing arm is down ( on position) and the ice maker is full of ice, there is a failure inside the ice maker and the ice maker should be replaced.
If there is no ice in the ice maker, look at the fill tube on the rear of the ice maker. If the fill tube is frozen up the ice maker can't fill.
You can defrost the fill tube with a hair dryer.
The water valve on the rear of the refrigerator supplies water to the water dispenser and the ice maker. Since the water dispenser is working, the only line that could be blocked runs up the back of the cabinet and attaches to the fill tube for the ice maker. The water valve could be bad and not sending water to the ice maker.
If the fill tube freezes again you should replace the water valve.
Hope this helps.

Water driping from freezer to refrigerator

If this is a side by side refrigerator, water dripping from the cold air return indicates a warm air leak, or some source of constant heat presence. Check to make sure doors close completely, that you have a tight seal along the entire edge of all four sides of both doors, that a light is not staying on when door is closed, that your ice maker is not stuck in the harvest cycle which turns a heater on underneath the ice maker, some other cause not determined without personal inspection.

its hard to ck a valve that drips / and the ice maker may be over filling . if ice cubes are stuck to gether it is over filling . if driping . it may be a bad valve that does not shut off tight. I would replace the valve .. ****

Water driping inside from ice maker

If it overfills and drips, look for an adjustment behind the plastic endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water.

If it continuously drips, replace the water inlet valve on the back where the house water supply comes in.
The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

Water driping from freezer to ref.I khow its pluged

The easy way to fix is unplug appliance - take back panel off freezer - melt ice in pan below evaporator - when ice is melted and you see drain tube mop water up with paper towel - with a measuring jug pour hot water into pan/tray below evaporator...repeat this at intervals of a few minutes 2-3 times moping water up each time with paper towel - next find something flexible to clear blockage in drain tube, curtain wire works - when you see water suddenly drain down tube blokage has cleared.

put back together and plug in..you are good to go.

Hope this helped, if you need any further assistance of have questions please feel free to comment again.

Water driping on top shelfe from freezer,

The drain most likely was blocked by food debris and the water from defrost cycle had no where to go...unplug refridge...chip some of the ice along the bottom carefully or use heat gun to melt ice...when the tube becomes exposed put some hot water in the drip pan..this should help the ice melt in the drain tube....use a straw or curtain wire to clear blockage...you should see the water suddenly drain down tube...put everything back together...this is not a temp issue but more a blockage issue.

Ice maker freezes up and drips water

I am assuming you have the ice maker that the tray twists to release the ice. There is a new tray out with a wall to prevent the water spilling over. The part number is
