Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console
I have many issues with my ps2
1. when i first got it modded it was fine. after a while (when i finished the normal version of RE4) my memory card got corrupted (it says there is no data in it and loads only the RE4 Data)
2. after a few more months it would not read any games other than S vs R 2006. so i took it to the chop shop who said i had lense issues and say they replaced the lense. when i got it back frm there it worked fine for a couple of days but now it just gets hung up on the loading screen. the weird part is that it reads only RE4 now
The only thing i can say is that some modds work great for the life of the machine but ..when it doesnt take that crap outa there if you can .. re-moveing can get ya back to playing but in that process the board can become damaged ..oh one more thing you should know.. and this is what sony will tell ya
Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) does not have any information on "mod chips" nor would we recommend installing one into your PlayStation® product. Doing so will immediately void the Limited Sony Warranty and may cause damage to your system. SCEA's legal department has determined that the chips are illegal under contributory copyright infringement and SCEA will not repair or service any modified systems.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
