Leakage Error E1

  • The excessive RPM of Washing Motor happened during Washcycle due to water leakage.
  • Water leakage in Hose connections.
  • Water is leaked by damages.
  • The Motor Water Seal leakage of Sump assembly.
  • The height of Drain Hose connection
  • (sink-Drain Hose) is not over 20 .
  • Impeller of the Washing Pump is worn away.
Replace the connections of Hose. Check the point of damages and repair or replace the related parts.
fix it to the recommended Height. Replace the Impeller of the Washing Pump.

E1 is theoretically a water leak in the machine but could also be a faulty sensor or a dodgy pump. I have had endless problems with my pump - the non replaceable seal in the pump housing failed and this caused water to get into the motor ball bearing that also failed. The bearing is no probem and easily available but the pump is a sealed unit and cannot be mended. I've just tried making a seal - ideally the size is 12mm OD and 8mm ID but not available - so I modified a car valve stem seal, without the steel spring that would rust and I'll see how long that lasts.

I have a freestanding LG dishwasher and the E1 error message has come up. How do I fix it?

The E1 ERROR mean's your main wash motor is clogged or failed & you need to pull it apart completley to test or clear the blockage.Generally its just clogged so get a lg service guy to do it cause he will know your dishwasher inside out.THANKS, ECO KIZZA

LG dishwasher error code E1

E1 is a code that the dishwasher displays after detecting a leak. There is a sensor on the pan at the very bottom of the unit. Take the bottom front panel off, look under the unit at the hose coming off the pump and your fill line to be sure no water is dripping. Run the unit in a wash cycle while doing this if possible.

Instead of showinf a time my LG dishwasher (LD-2120w) has code: F on then during a cycle it stops and flashes 0E. I have found OE means to clean the filter which i think i have done, but the priblem is...

With an OE error, the next step is to follow the drain hose from where it connects to the dishwasher through the point where it connects to the drain.

Look for crushed hose, kinked hose. Then look for a plugged drain connection.

Please report back what you find. There are other things that ~could~ cause the problem. OK?

Model No- LD-12AW2 LE Error showing what does this mean

LE error code means that there is a problem with the motor.  One thing to check is to remove the front door panel and check the wiring harness to see if there are any broken wires.  If there is, repair the wire connections and see if the dishwasher returns to normal.  If not, then the motor assembly will need to be replaced.

E1 error on LG - LD-4120M

E1 is a common error in the LG Dishwasher range and is usually caused by the failure of the circulation pump and/or the impeller.

The motor and impeller are a complete unit.

Often what happens is the impeller breaks on the motor shaft and doesn't spin, therefore doesn't pump water.

There is a pressure sensor which indicates the lack of pressure and shuts the machine down with the E1 error being displayed.

The lack of pressure can also be from a water leak (as the owners manual suggests) also a controller PCB fault may produce an E1 error, however, the pump problem is extremely common.

Unfortunately, I have had 5 pumps die in 4 years and my dishwasher is only used about 4 times a week.
