Nextar q3 just took it out of the box wont start up locks up on the beginning screen and says "loading" no help at all on website or in manuals

    When I turn Q3-13 gps I get screen that says "nextar, Loading and GPS Turn by Turn Navigation. Pressing menu button does nothing. I have tried previous tip of letting battery run down and recharging , still does not work.

    I charged my newly bought NEXTAR GPS for 3 hrs first as described in manual. Then turned it "ON" for the first time. It shows "loading" for over 3 hrs now. Until died down. Then I charged again and restart. Thesame message "loading" for hours.

    I have the same problem, it worked fine for a good 9-10 months or so, then in St Louis I turned it on, and it locked up.



    let the battery die a few times, sometimes dead for a week or more, and when it's plugged in, it still is locked up at the exact same place. Made the drive home annoying not to have it...



    any other ideas?

Do a hard reboot, take batt out for more than 15 min. Or let system die out power. Then start over.

You can contact Nextar at www.nextar.com to see if there is an update available ... but they haven't distributed any updated maps for a couple years from Navteq (who provides the maps to Nextar).

Update nextar q3
Hey,
I am looking for the original data for this model. Is there ANY way you could zip the data off the SD card any maybe send it to me over Skype or something?

GPS locked up.
My problem has been remedied. I took the product back to the store and got my money back. I am sorry I had to do this but your tech support stinks. I did not think that I should have to pay for tech support on a product that was still under warranty. I did not purchase another Nextar due to the tech support. I will purchase another GPS system from another supplier.

Intellinav.exe application error
Did you try the switch on the back of the GPS? Turn off on the front, turn the switch on the back off, then on. This has worked for me numerous times.
