I'm sorry to know that the Format error is displaying in the Walkman Player. I'll be glad to assist you with this.
Follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue. Because each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue, check the device status after completing each step. The NO DATA or FORMAT ERROR message may occur if the portable player has been formatted using the format utility in Windows Explorer. To correct this issue, initialize (format) the portable player using the Initialize or Format utility built into your Walkman player. Reset the unit by pressing the RESET button with a small object such as a paper clip. Disconnect the power source (if applicable) for 30 seconds. If using AC power, verify that the adapter is securely connected and plugged into a working outlet. If the unit does not work after the 30 seconds, remove the power source (if applicable) for 30 minutes or turn off the player for 30 minutes. If the issue is still unresolved after completing all of the troubleshooting steps, service will be required . Thanks for contacting FixYa
If I understand you correctly, you plugged your MP3 player into your computer and then formatted the drive on the mp3 player?
I do not believe you should format the MP3 player. It is already formatted to read/write files. You may have damaged it by doing that. Try a hard reset of the MP3 player. You can do this by pressing the small reset button and holding for 10 seconds, normally.
You may need to contact technical support from the company you bought the mp3 player from for further assistance.
The best solution out of situations like this is to do as the device tells you to(to format it) but since it doesn't allow you to by not staying on for long enough you have to use the hard reset or format method which requires you to format the device even before it turns on completely. Follow the instructions below
hard reset the 704 using the button under the
battery right hand side;
reformat the unit (but that would of course
Just curious, did you try/did a firmware
update recently? Additionally, the manual has some details on
troubleshooting as well as Archos online support.
Hope this be
of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you
need additional information.
i think you need the help from Video Download Studio, it gives you the ability to download any youtube video in various video or audio formats to your computer in seconds, formats include mp3, wav, avi, wmv, 3gp, mov, mp4, mpg, mpeg, ...
it sounds like the battery is completely dead or there is a software problem that makes it turn off.before you get a new battery try formatting it.to do this just plug it up to your computer and right click the name of the mp3 player in my computer and look for the word format. (make sure you get all of the stuff you want for it will be erased)once a window opens up click format okay.if that doesn't work then it might be the battery wich is that expensive and easy to install.any more qeustion feel free to email me at email@example.com
