I was watching my tv and all of the sudden it shut off. When I try to turn it back on it just shows a very bright green screen for a few seconds and then shuts itself off. What's going on with my tv?

Your picture tube is bad,pull back off/ unplug crt broad on neck of tube make sure it does not touch anything ,turn set back on if set stays on tube is shorted!
