SOURCE: Grey screen

Clean , outside of lens, go to menu reset to factory defaults, try another new battery, take out memory card and wipe lightly with alcohol. If none of this works contact or call customer support for brand. You may have dead pixels, if that is the case it's time to buy a new camera. Jimmy

SOURCE: camera powers up but screen is just grey/black--no

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free worldwide, and may also include free shipping both ways (free shipping varies with countries). This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

There are little grey lines going through my camera screen.

This sounds like an internal operating problem. I suggest taking it to the store where you purchased it. Hopefully it isn't too old yet, it is a common problem for older/used cameras to have. Hope that helps.

Black screen with horizontal green lines

Hello yoyoxide.

from my experience can be something related with the video card. I recommend you the followig (Hardware diagnostics):

-Look for one of the discs that came with your computer, it should say (Drivers & utilities).
-Boot from the CD. If you don't know how to do it do the following:
1.Insert the Drivers&Utilities Disk.
2.Restart teh computer.
3. When you get the Dell logo, press F12
4.Select Boot from CD/CDRW-DVD (something like that).
-You will get a prompt to run the diagnosics.
-Just follow the wizard
-I recommend you to run diagnostics for everything.
-You will see if you have any problems with your hardware.

It seems that you have a pretty new laptop, so probably it's under warranty.

I have the same problem happening and can't find a straight answer. Some posts are leading me to believe that it may be dirty heads, and that the camera needs cleaning.
