This indicate the timer has gone
if an hotpoint you can remove the back and check if belts is attached
if not or slipped you can set it back on the drum
you can by pass the program and add to a continuous cycle
if there is adoor switch to disengage motor try to press it even with door open on the switch on position, if it start the motor than the fault is here
if not good than ultimately the motor has to be chahged

SOURCE: Dryer cuts out

Either a bad motor or power problem . If dryer has been there for a while and worked fine , then motor is bad . If dryer has recently gotten there , check the cord to make sure it's connected properly , and the wall receptical has 240 volts where it should be ( both 1/2 " straight terminals ) The " L " is ground .

SOURCE: I have a He2 Kenmore Dryer. Everything comes on

If the click sound is coming from the bottom panel then it means that the motor is bad, another thing that makes the click sound is the door switch-lock assembly as if the motor detects that the door is not closed it won't work. If both these parts are fine then it is the timer that should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Dryer will not start when pushing start button it just clicks once

This sounds like a problem with the thermal fuse blown which is wired in series with the motor. Power to the motor is terminated when the thermal fuse blows and the motor cannot run. No dryer function works when the motor cannot run. Click on the link below for the detailed instructions in troubleshooting this kind of Whirlpool Duet or Kenmore Elite dryer problem.

Wont turn on, makes click sound when you push the start button. The click sound is near the motor.

The clicking sound your hearing is in the gas valve and or ignitor that are located near your dryers motor. It sounds as if you have a problem with the motor or motor switch itself. This can be repaired but the repair most often requires the replacement of the motor itself.

Gas dryer wont run

Hi. there can be many issue that can cause this type of interruption in normal operations. Lets go threw a few.One could be a faulty or dead motor. The timer board sends a signal to the motor once the start button is pushed. If the motor is malfunctioning or the wires that connect to the motor are lose or old and worn, the motor will usually click or buzz. the fault itself can be within the timer assembly or the motor itself. the best way to find out is to test the current flow at the motor by using a multimeter. connect this meter to the motor terminals and select the cycle and hit the start button. if the meter reads voltage at the motor and the motor clicks or buzzes, this will confirm an actual motor failure. if the voltage at the motor is weak or not there 0, this means the timer will need to be replaced. Next, I would check the door switch for its operational value. you can use the same method as i discussed above with the meter. use the terminals for testing on the switch. This could be a problem area as well. if the switch is malfunctioning, the dryer will not run at all. you will find the problem in one or both of the discussed areas above.

please rate and god bless.

Dryer makes a loud buzzing noise then quits working.

Sounds like the motor's done. That thing is probably the start-run switch. Not worth trying to fix on an old motor. I've found dryer motors to be fairly generic, you should be able to find a replacement. I use when I can't get parts locally.
