Its happen to me also, while I am trying to play Harry Porter & the Pirate game. What I find is: My PSP firmware is not update enough to play the game. So I update my PSP to 3.40-OE...

An OE-C firmware is not an official firmware, and is rather old. The fact that it has a recovery menu is another indication that it is not official. My bet is that since your firmware is so dated, it can't run some of your newer games. Update your firmware either to a more recent custom firmware or to the latest Sony official firmware (you won't be able to play your ISOs though).

alright turn off your psp by holding down the power switch for atleast five seconds. when it is turned off hold down the right trigger (the R1 button) then at the same time hold down the power switch button to get to the recovery menu. after that go to configuration then somewhere amongst all of the displayed lines one of them should either say no umd or umd required toward the end of the text. if it says umd required change it to where it says no umd. then go back and go to advance then advance configuration and disable all and this should solve your problem. hope i helped.

SOURCE: psp screen shaking
Turn your psp off then turn it back on while pressing the R button to put it into recovery mode then go down to CPU setting and change CPU Xmb speed to default and also have Game CPU speed at default Exit and boot up psp and everthing should work
