Hi i have the same problem did you get a solution?

  • pat p Feb 12, 2008

I still haven't found a solution. Nintendo told me to check the cables and that didn't work, so I think I have to send it back to be repaired.

i have black dots and lines on my screen in all coulours, i have put on lcd tv and normal tv but still the same.

Do the lines and dots move or are they pernament? If they move then it's normal and it has to do with interlacing abilities of your TV.

This occurs when you have wiiconnect24 activated, and standby connection activated and console goes to standby connection (yellow led in front), when wii is in standby connection the motherboard and some circuits are active and producing some heat, but the fans are completely off, therefore the console gets overheated overtime..

It's a problem with the Graphics controller. Contact Nintendo and they will send you a shipping label to send it in. I am going through the process myself as many others have.

I've never heard of something like this, but I might be able to help. You may already know this, but when a magnet or a speaker is close to a television, the screen may develop a purple or blue spot. Look around your TV for: magnets, speakers, phones and even headphones. If you find anything like this laying around your TV, remove them immediately! As they can leave permanent damage to your TV.

If possible, try hooking your Wii up to another TV and see if you get the same problem. If so, then I'm not quite sure what to do... Sorry, Guess I wasn't much help, huh...? ^-^;

If it works fine when you connect to your tv then you've probably got a loose cable on the screen. You'll have to strip it to check.

We have a Sony Bravia KDL-40V3000 flat screen television. About 6 months ago, the screen started displaying white, green and black vertical lines and dots. This continued for a few weeks and then the...

It's a connection inside the TV that's faulty. It could be as simple as reseating the ribbon cables that connect the control board to the glass display. Or it could be that the fault is on the board and needs to be replaced. The fact that the problem comes and goes should tell you it's fixable.

Black lines 1/8 of an inch apart going down my screen when playin

I had this happen a few times, then after a while it stoped working all together. In the end I was getting the E74 message code appear when I turned on my xbox 360.

You'll probley get this happen with yours soon, the E74 code means theres a problem with your visual display.

Sometimes it can be as simple as changing your HD Lead or scart lead, whatever your using. If you know someone else with a xbox try theirs.

If this doesn't work you'll have to send it off to mircosoft, it will be free if your still under warrenty, if not I think it's about £100+

Or you could go on www.cd24-7.co.uk and buy one of their DIY kits.

Hope this helps.

Big black dot on main screen

well...unfortunately that cant be fixed. you can try a software flash, which would just require that u take it to a vzw direct store, and back up ur memory because it could be erased. otherwise, ur phone has a 1 year warranty, take it to a store or call tech support to get a replacement.

Blue out of focus; casting blue "glow"

Try changing the coolant in the blue tube. Contaminated coolant will give a halo look to the affected tube and you will experience difficulty focusing that color.Phillips/magnavox's blue is the tube most often affected with the contaminated coolant issues.
