Want to know the proper length of the drain hose from washer to drain. I can shorten it to about 6" if need be

You cannot shorten it to 6 inches. The pipe must go up from the bottom exit up to nearly the height of the washer then down anywhere to drain pipe in wall or washbasin. But the drain hose must go first up and then down - important.

You can give me 4 thumbs, if helped that is.

Magic Chef CAV2005AWW Washer Drain hose is about a 6 inches to short to my sink..how do I replace that hose with a general longer one? I cannot seem to find extensions and the hose disappears into the back...

you should be able to purchass a connector, then if you can get an old pipe same diamiter join them. tip when you join them heat the pipe in hot water, and this will then push on fairly easy. Also if you use a little glue on the connector then this will dry and work as a seal.

The washer fills but before it agitates the water pumps out and then keeps repeating this process. Once in awhile it agitates for a short time.

This is an easy fix. Your drain hose must be 30 inchs above the floor. If it is not at least 30 inchs above the floor, gravity will drain out the water at a given point and then the water level will drop sufficiently for pressure to cause the motor to stop and the water valve filling again. Simply make an adjustment on the placement of the drain hose to prevent the auto siphoning of the drain hose.

When start washing, filling water comes out from

This is most likely due to having the height of the drain hose too low in the drain pipe so the water siphons out as the machine tries to fill up. This will eventually lead to an F20 error displaying saying that the machine was not able to fill with enough water in the 6 minutes allowed by the on board controller in the Whirlpool.

The solution is to measure the height of the top of the arch of the drain hose or direct connecting point to a drain and make sure that his is at least 32 inches and no mort than 36 inches from the floor.

My GE washing maching runs water into it, but the water flows right back out. How to keep the water in?

Make sure that your drain hose is at least 20 inches from the base of the machine and is not inserted into your drain too far... Normal is to insert about 6 inches... Inserting your hose too far causes a syphoning action.

Water collecting in driver side pass. compmnt - AC cndnsr drain?

Clogged AC drain hose.

You can see it by opening the hood and looking towards the back firewall.
Its a short black drain hose and will have a good rust spot under it.
To see it in the car you need to remove you dash. Lower your dash. Remove the screw on the right side and you can pull your dash out. The drain hose is located in the upper left side near the center hub and right near the engine firewall. Its a 6 inch black hose with a few bends and stubs out through a hole into the engine compartment. You can easily pull it out. and stick a short screwdriver up into the drain pan to clean it out.

Water dripping from underneath

That hose is the drain hose for the a/c. When condensation forms from running the a/c it drains out through the black hose you are refering too.If it doesn't drain out it will eventually overflow inside the car and get your carpet wet.

Lint build-up on clothing after coming out of washing Machine

ck to be sure drain hose is not more than 6-8 inches into standpipe ..standpipe is 30-36 inches to top from floor ..drain hose does not fit too tight in standpipe any of the above conditions may cause water to siphon out during wash or rinse resulting in not enough water in tub to carry lint away during drain
