I bought a new Lexmark X1185 @ Walmart. It was working great. I had computer problems and needed to do a system recovery; That caused me to lose all the software programs on my computer I had put on it. I need to re-install my Lexmark X1185 printer, but I cannot find the installation CD!!! Is there a solution? Is a "driver" the same thing as a installation disk?

You can download the Lexmark X1185 driver from the Lexmark website for free. Click on this link Lexmark X1185 Drivers. Select your operating system to download the driver. NOTE: Use Vista driver in Windows 7.
Here's the link to the Lexmark website for the available Lexmark X1185 drivers you can download. I suggest not to plug the printer to your computer yet. Download and install the
software first. Just click on this link: http://bit.ly/9A3rmA. Click on the Microsoft or Macintosh dropdown to choose the version of your computer's operating system. Then
download and install the software. Follow the instructions. Hope this helps.
I have the same issues with a Lexmark printer, Lexmark printers are not very user friendly with Vista. What I did is create a dual boot with XP and installed the software for the printer there. If interested in that follow these instructions or contact lexmark support.
