Re: Hello

Hi Colmen,

The unlocking code should be printed somewhere on the manual or other documentation that came with the stereo. The alternative to this would be to take it back to the reseller where you bought it & ask them if they have a decoding service. If not then try your local car audio specialist as many offer this service for only a small sum of money.

1 Answer trying to find a diagram on how to wire my subs down to 1 ohm..i have 2 12 in. Audiobahn alum12n..they are currently runnimg at 3 ohms on a hifonics 2500 watt 1 channel amp that only supports 1 2...

Hi, if you wire all voice coils in parallel, you will get down to 1.5 ohms. That is the lowest you can go with these 2 subs. Just hook the amps' positive to all 4 positive speaker terminals and the amp negative to all 4 speaker negative terminals. Please let me know if you have more questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

Subwoofer sound interference

it sounds like you may have unshielded patch cable (rca cables) or they may be coming loose from either the head unit or at the amp which could cause the same thing and it may also have a cut in the cables but in my opinion it has to be the head unit or the patch cables cause there shouldnt be anything else in your car that would cause that phenomenon. more than likely the cables are loose at the head unit in my opinion if you have another amp available to you i would try it and see if it reoccurs if it does and most likely will you need to take out the unit and if the cables are completely in you could have 2v preouts which sometimes in conjunction with other factors seems to cause also

sorry i couldnt just tell u whats wrong

Hi, I am installing a new head unit into my dads 98' Buick LeSabre and the factory harness has been cut and I'm not sure of the color code and not sure how to run the extras thru the new head unit and how...

Metra makes wire harnesses for your problem. If your wire harness is, 70-5555 the part that goes into the OEM radio will be 71-5555
Try and put in the car info. The harness will come with wire codes for splicing the new plug.

Avh-p5900dvd... I keep getting error -02-9e and it wont play cd,s or dvd,s can you help.

Owner's manual doesn't really say what the -02-9e error code means other than a disc error. They do recommend resetting the unit as a possible solution:
  1. Turn the ignition off.
  2. Remove the faceplate.
  3. On the right side of the front of the head unit (with the faceplate removed), press the reset button with a ball point pen.
You may have to call Pioneer directly to find out what the -02-9e code means specifically. 1-800-421-1404
