Often you can go on-line and search by model / year for vehicle wiring, which will save you a lot of time...so, either find the wiring diagram for the vehicle or you need to get your voltmeter out and test the leads for proper power and speaker connections. You need to know the constant 12v + first, isolate it so it doesn't short, then the keyed or accessory 12v +. Then the ground - etc.
