Tighten the wheel in the center, if that doesn't work, remove the bobin and look for threads, I worked at a sewing machine store

Needle shaft stuck. Machine won't work.

It's possible that you have threads wound somewhere inside the machine. Likely places are the tension unit and near the hand wheel.

All of a sudden , as soon as i finish sewing a piece of fabric the thread will break. i can continue to sew as the main machine is still threaded.

There may be a bit of thread stuck in the bobbin or somewhere under the machine. Turn the machine sideways and look with a flashlight. Then turn the wheel a couple times and look again...Good Luck...xo

Error code 6 (thread in motor but there is none)

If you can turn the balance wheel by hand and the needle goes up and down it may be loose belts, if you can't turn the balance wheel by hand then there is definitely thread stuck somewhere in the raceway

Toyota 2260 sewing machine. When I press the foot pedal, I can hear the motor but the hand wheel seems stuck and therfore the belt does not move.

Chances are you have a small piece of thread stuck in the raceway, turn the balance wheel bac kwards and you may free it off otherwise take out the bobbin and bobbin case and the raceway if you have the type with a drop down gate and clear it.

Remove the bobbin, bobbin case as well as the shuttle hook. There are black pins/holders that hold the shuttle hook. After you remove these 3 components, make sure there are no thread stuck in between the 2 hook pieces as well as the bobbin shaft. Most of them time, there are either fabric or thread stuck. If not, make sure the needle is not hitting the feed dog or the hook.

Wheel won't turn

Hello,

The same thing happend to me with an older model (Singer XL 10). I have been sewing a decorating stitch and the machine stopped suddenly. Now I am not able to turn the hand wheel anymore like I should (I can move it a little bit, but the needle does not move up and down and the wheel is getting stuck). When I try to use the pedal the motor makes a horrible noise and stops. The needle is not moving up and down.

Is there a solution for that problem? I moved from Europe to Australia and have not used my machine since. Today is the first day, I was cleaning and oiling it and it first sewed perfectly. In case that there would be thread stuck somewhere, how could I possibly clean that? I already took off the plastic from the head, but I can not see where the problem is.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Best regards,
Nelly
