Unit powers off and then constantly cycles between (seems to me) hard drive booting up (loud fan noise) and then proceeding to turn on then suddenly powering off and cycle begining again. Even if i disconnect it for hours it will do the same then again.

You need to replace the unit. This is the only solution available. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
