Thanks for providing the full model number, which allows us to look up part numbers and see exploded views of your product.
Most likely the bake ignitor is bad (even if it still glows, it may not draw enough amperage to allow the gas safety valve to open). One way you can test this on your model is to swap out the broil ignitor for the bake ignitor, as they are the same part number on your model. (part number WB13T10045) The broiler is normally used much less than the oven, so the part does not fail very often on the broiler. You will have to take the cover off the floor of the oven, then the flame spreader, to reach the burner area. The ignitor is the rectangular part at the back, on the side of the burner. (only two wires to deal with) (By the way, for future reference, your model number ends is SS, as in stainless steel, not a 55)

I dont know if you recieved an answer yet but this is a fairly easy fix. Open your oven door and remove your bottom oven plate. You now should see the burner element running down the middle. at the rear of the burner element is the ignite r (small porcelin bugger with two wires) remove this and replace with a new one GE #WB2X9154 available from the repairclinc.com website for 69.80 plus shipping. i just ordered (2) they seam to go out like clockwork every 2-3 years. To be safe unplug your ovens 110 volt cord first.

This is the Membrane switch which is faulty. I had mine replaced once already. These units cannot be repaired, they need to be replaced. Apprently it is very common and you should report this to your local ESA (Electrical saftey authority) this is a very dangerous problem. The ESA can have this item recalled if enough people lodge a complaint. The round Stove top knobs on these Ranges also have a tendency to switch on when bumped, very dangerous too.

Their should be a knob on it that says self clean or just clean set and you need to lock the door shut, when the cleaning is complete the door should unlock automaticly.
