Question about Nikon Speedlight SB-800 TTL Flash
My flash is doing the same thing.. I have a question is to Nikon! The flash suggests that it is firing but no light comes out! I have tried new batteries... I have tried it on and off the camera.. even in remote mode... Nothing. Stopped working while doing a wedding!
If the flash appears to work in every way apart from producing no actual flash, so the red ready light comes on etc then the problem is probably a broken flash tube. Around £150 for nikon to fix or £20 for the parts plus several hours work...but you need to be careful taking it apart due to the high voltages inside (WHICH CAN BE SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS)
If you want to sell this I would be interested.
