Question about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
For a start, I'd press CTRL+ALT+DEL to start the task manager program. Then click on the tab at the top that says 'processes'. Scan through that list and look for something that is related to quicktime, and end the process. If you're unsure of what any of the things listed are, you can always go out to google and type "what is 'itemnamehere'?" and you'll figure out if it would be bad to end that particular process.
