Unloader valve is the most likely suspect here.
Remove and clean with penetrating oil then reinstall.

Also add some LIGHT oil into your supply hose via a small funnel. 3-in-1 household oil or power steering fluid lubricate the valve and pump quite well. Three or four treatments of a couple ounces each will usually make the pump happy again.
Hope this helps!

Will not build up pressure sounds like it is but as soon as you hit the trigger pressure goes away

Is this something new happening?

These machines quickly (a matter of seconds) build up to pressure and shut off. A slow leak is not much of a player. Eventually the pressure will bleed off and the pump come on (for a few seconds).

Pressure restored, should be good to go. Have you cleaned the inline filter to the hose. If there is a short burst of water then a dribble with a new hose, the filter is a first check

Cold start problem mazda 2001

Could be the fuel pump relay, or a faulty pump, or pressure regulator.
The fuel system is supposed to hold pressure after you turn the engine off. A faulty pump or pressure regulator could allow fuel to drain back into the tank overnight. You would need to crank the engine for several seconds to build pressure back up.
The relay could be faulty and not giving the fuel pump power until the oil pressure comes up.

Troy built presure washer motor starts but seems to bind and stop when pressure builds up

Hi,

More than like;ly the problem is in your valve body. Under the pressure washer. tilt the pressure washer at a 45 degree angle. On one end of the unit you should find what looks like a protrusion, (a piece of brass or chrome looks like a cap) bolted on one end of the pressure washer.

Inside the cap you will find a spring and a detent ball, this is the pressure relief mechanism. It is probaly rusted or dirty. Take it off, be careful there is usually an O ring inside the nut, dont damage it or it will leak on reassembly. Clean out the cap and the area where the ball seats.

reassemble the unit it should be fine.

If you can go on Tory's website;
http://www.troybilt-gen-pw.com/pressure_washers/
and print the owners manual, alot of them have a blow up of the valve assembly.
If not use the manual to get the name of the valve ang go to their site and get the blow up.

Good luck

Washer over fills with water

They work on a pressure switch. It has a rubber hose that connects to the bottom of the drum and runs up to the top control panel. When water fills up into the hose the air pressure trips a switch. So either the switch is bad and not making contact when it clicks. Or the hose is leaking air so it won't let it build up enough pressure. I had one that a mouse got up into and chewed a hole in the hose. You can take the back panel off of the top control panel and let the water in and listen to see if the switch clicks when it gets fulll. If it does and doesn't stop filling then it is a switch.
Or it could be the water shutoff switch where the water hoses hook up. If it is that then it will run all the time, more than likely. Is that what it is doing? Does the washer start running and water keeps coming in? Because it wont start running until the pressure switch is enganged. If it starts running and keeps coming in it is that. Good luck hope this helps.

Troy-bilt 2200 psi pressure washer

I have a Troybilt Model 2200 PSI Pressure Washer in which I have used only 2 times in the past 2 1/2 years. Went to use it this past weekend and the pump in not working. Water shoots out of the side. I bought this brand and model as I thought Troybilt was suppose to be so good. Went back to where it was purchased and had no success but to say I could buy another pump or take it in to be repaired. I believe that this power washer should be replaced at no charge. 2 uses does not constitute a few hundreds of dollars.
Have you to heard anything concerning pump problems on this particular model? Thanks for any advice. .
