There is no problem here as CD players are audio only, no picture is designed to come out of them . The big clue is on the back, there is only red and white audio outputs. There is no scart, rgb, composite or other tpye of video connecter output.
It was pretty tricky without instructions but trial & error brought me to a successful resolution. This machine comes from the factory set to connect directly to a television with supplied RCA cable. Do that before you connect to a VGA monitor. Using the remote control, press setup and then go into "preferences" and look around for "video" and then to "VGA". Once you click "VGA" the TV screen goes frighteningly blank. The next obvious step is to hook it to the VGA cable and VGA monitor. If your computer is also hooked up and on to the monitor there is no karaoke picture. Shut off or disconnect computer and presto, there it is. <br> www.texsax.com
