Question about Fuji FinePix S700 Digital Camera
This can be due to the flash mechanism being worn out.
Maybe you just have to change a spring but to be safe take it in to be checked out.

I use a bend paperclip to prop up the flash. Easy & cheap. Flash is always in the 'up' position but that doesn't bother me.
