Almost any guitar shop[ can replace a damaged pot without rebuilding the whole wiring harness. Pots usually only have three wires or some might have an extra pair if the pot has an integral switch. The hardest part will be to get an exact replacement pot.

I am trying to wire a Delano 4 conductor pickup with a simple volume and tone control harness wiring into my Ibanez Bass guitar. I am new at this and just getting a buzz when testing.

If you are getting a buzzing sound, the ground connection is wrong. If you google how to wire an electric guitar there is a lot of info on it.

I have an Ibanez s470 and need a wiring diagram for 2humbuckers and 1 singlecoil with a 3 position swicht

What kind of switching options do you want? there are many ways to skin a cat but there are more ways than that to wire a guitar..
Visit the ibanez website for wiring diagrams if it is something simple you want. for more customised switching options, you should contact the pickup brand's customer care...for example, when i bought Dimarzios for my Ibanez,i emailed dimarzio and they replied within 24 hours with a pic of the correct wiring.

I bought a used SR300DX bass guitar, whenever i turned up the volume and it had alot of static noise. i checked the wire and they are all ok, i think i have a bad pot. what should i do?

it is a very common problem with electric basses and guitars and does not necessarily need changing. It is possible to clean the pot using a spray cleaner/ lubricant. I use Servisol Super 10, but others recommend DeOxit, if you can find it. Do not use a general purpose spray such as WD40, as it is slightly sticky so will cause a build up of dirt over time.

You will need to remove the rear control cavity cover and spray the cleaner into the opening on the pot, near where the leads connect. Turn the pot quickly a few times. Do all the pots whilst you're in there. Test with an amp before replacing the cavity cover. Repeat if it still hasn't fixed it. If a second application doesn't work then you'll probably need to replace it so write down the numbers on the back of the pot and order a new pot from a guitar supplier such as WD Music. If you're comfortable with a soldering iron it should be straight forward to remove the wires and swap them over to the new pot. If not, you'll need to take it to your local repair man.

When i put a new jack in my s series ibanez. It works for a bit and then fades out.

Check for poor soldering. Also the jack or pots MAY be physically turning and shorting to the black shielding paint that is conductive in the "WELL" with the pots and jack. If you find that a lead is shorting to the paint, put some insulating material OR tighten to prevent rotation that brings the lead into contact with the paint.
