Question about Canon BJC 2100 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Printer Problem When I tried to print a travel document today --- it printed the header - and something on the bottom of the page ---- no document info - just a blank page. I changed the cartridge --- printed the same. Tried the paper setting --- got the same thing. My computer is Micro "98 (works for me!) and bought them (computer & printer) in 2000. Please contact me at and let me know if I can manually do anything.

Re: Printer Problem

I would try to Highlight the entire page, then right click,
Select Print, and then select "entire selected section" and then Apply and print.
This should work.
Good luck.

When i print a word document, the bottom of the letters aren't all printing. Is this the printer or something different

I would think it has something to do with the margins of the print maybe the headers or footers too..right when you go to print deselect headers or footers, and check the margin settings...

Header, page no. prints normal, as well bottom of page, but document body prints very faintly.

This is not going to be a fault of the printer. You dont say what your document is which makes it hard to answer. Bear in mind docs that are in grey are very hard for a printer to reproduce. try changing the colour of the print for something darker.

Disable footer header

If are using Vista or Windows 7 operating system, go to VIEW at the top of the document you are going to print and in the drop down under VIEW select and click on the FOOTER & HEADER and click on it. Then when the Footer & Header page comes up DELET everything in both of them and then on the right of the Footer & Header click on CLOSE and it should take care of the problem.
This also applies to other Operating System’s.
Hope this helps, Bud

ML4600 only print 2 pages

It could be losing connection to the printer when there is too much information to print.
If the cable the information needs to travel through is too long or the distance to the printer is too far - information is "lost" due to the stability of the connection.  The longer the information needs to travel the more unreliable and unstable it becomes.
Have you tried from a different computer to print the document?
