I think i am close to solving the problem with connecting my Mac leopard OS X. It has my old wireless network from Linksys, but i can't change it to my airport network. If i can get a hint on that i may be home free. Any solutions? would Gimp drivers help?

I have a similar "Network connection in progress" problem. The difference here is mine is on a wired connection. I don't have, nor have I ever had, the wireless connection running. My printer has .."worked".. for a year or so and now suddenly we can't print.

When I try to access the network setup, I get this "Network connection in progress" message and the printer just sits there. It seems as if the NIC is failing. I don't have DHCP enabled, rather give it a static IP, so it shouldn't really have too much work to do.

Same problem, but this is with the Dell AIO 966 which is based on the Lexmark.

I had the same problem. It is now working.
The problem was a bad conecction of the network interface card.
I simply pluged it out and inserted it in and it is now working fine !!

Hope it works for you.

Cannot get the wireless connection to work on the printer. The USB cable is connected to the back of the PCU. I've installed and uninstalled twice and nothing. It did work when I first got it and...

Here are some guidelines to identify and fix your wireless communication issue:
  • What is the status of the Wi-Fi light on the printer? Green light means that it's connected to a wireless network while Orange light means it's not connected to a network.
  • Try to print the printer's wireless network settings to determine if it's connected to your own wireless network. On the printer operator panel, touch the Setup button > Network Setup > Print Setup Page. Your printer will then print the its wireless network information page. Ensure that the printer is connected to your network by checking the Network Card Status, Wireless SSID, Quality or Trouble Code.
  • If printer is not connected to your network, you may need to reset your printer's wireless network settings. On the printer operator panel, press Setup button > Network Setup > Reset Network Settings. The Wi-Fi light on the printer will momentarily turn off then back on to solid orange. You can then run the Wireless Setup Utility application on your computer to reconfigure the printer to connect to your wireless network. On your computer, launch the Lexmark Printer Home application > go to Settings tab > Wireless Setup Utility. Please follow the instructions on your computer screen.

My Lexmark X9350 "can't associate with wireless

Even though the printer says it supports WPA encryption, it does not. It will work if configured for the far less secure WEP.

This is the only answer that I have, unfortunately. The X9350 is a terrible machine.

For the last few weeks i haven't always been able to connect to the net,on the few occassions i have no prob! but why can't i always get in? had this notebook for 14 months without a prob. only started...

first i would try moving the switch that is located on the front of the netbook to the right. Once the switch has been moved the wireless networking icon will appear on the screen indicating that it has been enabled. If this doesn't help my next step would be to remove and recreate the wireless network connection by doing the following:
  1. Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel
  2. Open Network Connections
  3. Right-click the wireless network connection, and click Properties
  4. Click the Wireless Networks tab
  5. Under Preferred networks, click the wireless network, and then click Remove
  6. Click View Wireless Networks
  7. Under Network Tasks, click Refresh Network List
  8. Under Choose a wireless network, click the wireless network to which you want to connect, and then click Connect
In Windows, there is a power mode setting for the wireless driver that may also help this issue. Follow the instructions below:
  1. Go to Control Panel, System, click the Hardware tab and select Device Manager.
  2. Click the + next to Network Adapters and double click on the Atheros wireless Network Adapter.
  3. Click on the Advanced tab, select Power Save Mode from the list on the left.
  4. Change the Value on the right to Off.
The default setting is Maximum, which may cause issues similar to those described.
Check to see if this has resolved the connectivity issue. If it has not, the following steps may need to be completed.
  1. Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel
  2. Open Network Connections
  3. Right-click your wireless network connection, and click Properties
  4. Click the Wireless Networks tab
  5. Under Preferred networks, click the wireless network, and click Properties
  6. Click the Authentication tab, click to clear the "Enable IEEE 802.1X authentication for this network" check box, and then click OK twice if this doesnt help the computer may need service.
