Question about Samsung SyncMaster 913N 19" LCD Monitor

Had the exact same problem as the people here with a SyncMaster 913N. I went to a guy in my town, skilled in fixing electronics and he repaired the LCD which was out of warranty by now (3 and a half years old). Don't know to this day what was wrong, from what he said a chip had to be replaced. Another way of fixing this kind of problem is to "rewrite the software", probably he meant rewriting the ROM of the LCD, hell knows. This repairing cost me aprox. 50$

Same here. The unplug/inplug of the monitor seems to be the workaround. For now, I boot up Windows with the 913 unplugged and connect it after a couple of minutes when Windows has booted up. As mentioned before, this bug only happened to me after shifting to a PCIe card, Nvidia 6600 LE driver.
