Question about Hotpoint TDC32 Electric Dryer
When turning on to dry you can here a click but the drum does not turn. Heat is being generated. When you turn to the airing cycle the drum turns. Any ideas. Having moved out to NZ recently need to know if its worth fixing and where I can get parts. Thanks
Lewensc...this sounds like a classic timer issue. Before replacing it, first turn off your mains breakers and then back on. Check all wiring from the breaker panel to the unit. If okay, then have a quick look at the items in the dryer and test them using a multi tester. If nothing is amiss, replace the timer.
