Moving a fax/copier/printer
I have a mid-size multi-function machine and we are moving our office. Is it ok to put it on its side? We are having a hard time fitting it into the van upright.

No! not on its side!!! Rent something bigger. it will save buying a new copier..

It is not a good idea. These inkjet printers and multifunction units have a cleaning assembly that consists of the cap and wiper assembly as well as the spitoon. Just like it sounds the spitoon collects ink that is "spit" into it. As you send print jobs to the printer the cartridges will move over the spitoon and spit some ink out, then get wiped off by the wipers. That ink collects into the spitoona nd turning it on its side would cause the ink to leak out covering circuit boars and causing damage to the unit, not to mention getting ink all over your vehicle.
