Make sure the motor is not running when you try to turn the dryer on, they are very quite.
If the motor is running then your problem is a broken belt, or the belt has slippled off the motor pulley or idler arm pulley.
If the motor is not running then the problem could be the start switch or the timer switch even tho it is running they can have bad contacts.

Wont start are do nothing wont come on but light inside stay on all the time even when door close

Sounds like your door switch needs to be replaced. When the door is closed it is supposed to shut off power to your light, and send a signal to the timer that the dryer is ready to start. If your light is on with the door shut, then it won't start. Pretty simple replacement that you should be able to do yourself. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

Kenmore dryer stopped working, still has power.

When the timer stops during the duration of the time set the timers cogged tooth gearing has stripped out. A new timer will be needed to get your dryer working again

The Dryer stop working. The Start button doesn't

Hi,
You need to check to see it you have power coming out of the timer? There should be a wiring diagram inside the control panel.
Door switch should be checked with the timer set to run and start switch pressed down to start. Check for power at the motor see wiring diagram for which terminals.
If you give me the model # so I can look it up I can try to walk you through it.

Just stopped working still has power-inside light comes on and timer makes noise when you turn dial but does not start when you push start button

This sounds like the door switch. But it could also be the non-resettable thermal fuse inside. Open the door, depress the door switch until it clicks, and while holding it in see if the dryer starts.

No Power with dryer plug in

Plug light or something into wall outlet to see if you are getting power.
Got power then check for power at power cord inside machine.
Check power at timer.
If there is power at timer then circuit testing come into play.

Tumble Dryer won't start

assuming what you say you checked is correct and working then the next place to look is the start relay, located behind the front timer control panel, this sis more often than not a cubed shape box made of clear plastic with about 6 spade connectors on it, look for burn marks inside it, replace if looks damaged, do not attempt to bypass or short out to test, as you will blow the timer or and control circuit board and cause extensive damage
