Here is a video that shows you how to take the SGH-t629 apart. I had the same problem, my screen would first invert, then it turned all white. I just disassembled mine and it looks like the flex cable got a small cut in it some how probably from the sliding mechanism.

HI
email to my email address at joe_dao2003@yahoo.com, I will email you the troubleshooting guide and I am creating a disassembly guide for this phone soon. However, I have a guide created by me from a similar model which is Samsung D807 also a sliding phone. It may give you some hint to do your job. If you still can't, yo can send the phone to me for repair. My labor charge is low compared to all regular store. The labor cost not including part is $55.00. Let me know. I am here to help you out.
Regards,
pingping

Sir...it would be best to take the phone to a professional mobile tech and have them fix it for you.

I cannot hear anything, not someone on the other

The problem is either in the speaker contact pads or the speaker itself. If you have the tools to disassemble the unit check the contact pads, clean it and lift up the speaker terminals to ensure it makes contact with the pads. If it doesn't work, check the speaker resistance using an ohmmeter. The resistance reading should be 20-30 ohms, otherwise replace speaker.
In addition, sliders use flexible ribbon connectors that may wear and crack over time. Check also this connector on your phone if cracks are obvious. You need to replace it then.

your ringing style is either set to only vibrate or you made the phone silent. (hold the # key to off and on silence)

Phone stopped working suddenly

This sounds like a flex cable issue. You will need to have a tech examine the device to see if the flex cable needs replacement.

The flex cable is the ribbon cable that connects the screen to the rest of the electronics and allows the slider mechanism to slide and have the device maintain proper electrical connection. After two years it may very well be worn out.

Keypad settings

the only options Ive found for this are if you hit a button with the slider closed it asks if you want to unlock the keypad. Then you hit the right top button (says "ok") and it unlocks...this stays like this until you open and then close the slider. This is the only way I know of to unlock the keypad, I have not found any other way in settings menu or anywhere else. Good luck!!
