Thanks for using FixYa. You'll need to check for network connection settings on your thinkpad. You can do it by opening up the Network Connections window from the Control
Panel, and choose Properties in the menu after right-clicking on your Local
Area Connection. Now check for IP address configured over there, if no address and DNS server, gateway settings and ip are defined then you'll need to ask for these settings from your service provider.
