Question about Sony VAIO PCWA-C150S 802.11b Wireless Adapter

1 Answer

Changed HDD, unable to detect wireless hardware

I have a Sony Vaio VGN-NR21Z and having just changed the hard drive, the wireless hardware is not showing in the network adapters list. I'm sure I need the drivers. I can't connect with that laptop but I have a working laptop which can connect, and a 16GB flash drive which I hope I can use to transfer the driver, if I can get some guidance as to how to do that! I can't work out which drivers I need so please help!

Thanks
Charlie

Well google search the drivers to find out what you need then make shure your fash has enuff memory on it to fit the driver on it then click and drag the driver's program files to the flash and then plug it in to the other pc then open mycomputer then program files then drag and drop driver's files there. Then instal driver (if needed)

Hi, own a Sony Vaio VGN P530H with hardisk Toshiba MK6028GAL damaged. as forced to replace unit, wonder could install a higher capacity? Brand & model if available please!!! thanks to all of you!!!

The VAIO VGN-T350 is a notebook computer designed and distributed by Sony.
The hard drive on your Sony VAIO VGN-T350, which is the unit that stores data, consists of many clusters of data that can be rewritten with new data.
If you are looking for a memory capacity upgrade, or if your old hard drive is having errors, it's time for an upgrade.
Upgrading the hard drive on your Sony VAIO will require the use of a screwdriver and will take you about 30 minutes to complete.

Turn off your Sony VAIO VGN-T350 and remove the power cord and any other peripheral components.
Turn over your Sony VAIO VGN-T350 and locate the hard drive chamber on the bottom of your laptop. It will be clearly labeled.

Use the screwdriver to remove the screw holding the lid in place.
Gently lift the hard drive and its cage away from your laptop and disconnect the data cord.
Remove the four screws located at the corners, and then remove your old hard drive from its cage.
Place your new internal laptop hard drive into the cage and replace the screws.
Connect the data cord to your new hard drive and place your new hard drive into its chamber.
Close the lid and replace the screw to complete the operation.

Error 58 unable to write to boot sector

Run CHKDSK, if you see a message "The drive contains one or more unrecoverable problems", you need a new hard drive.

If you cant get on to Windows try a fresh install. If that fails buy a new HDD should fix it.

Hi I have a Sony vaio vgn-nr21z I don't know how to go bios setup pls tell me how to do that

Hi,
Please follow these steps, there are different way od going to BIOS depending on the brand of the laptop.

1
Turn on your computer

2
Hold down F2, this will take you into BIOS. On some computers it might be the DEL key, or F1.

3
Change the settings in BIOS to what you desire. You will see parameters for various devices, if your BIOS allows it, you can even overclock the CPU.

4
Look at the BIOS menu. You will be able to see the make, model, and capacity of your hard drive, processor speed, time and date, among many other settings.

5
Click "exit without saving changes" if you make a mistake, and nothing will be changed.

Hope this will help...Your response is very much appreciated...
