You're going to have to reinstall windows if you can't get any of those options to work.

A good thing to remember when working with any computer is to remember whatever the last thing you did was so that if it messes up your computer, you won't do it again.....since reinstalling can **** down at least an hour or so of your day.

AFTER YOU ON THE SYSTEM BEFORE WINDOWS STARTS KEEP PRESSING THE F8 KEY CONTINUEOUSLY. A MENU WILL APPEAR. SELECT SAFE MODE AND ENTER. WINDOWS WILL LOAD IN SAFE MODE. THIS WILL SOLVE SOME OF YOUR PROBLEMS. NOW RESTART THE SYSTEM IN NORMAL MODE. IF THIS DOES NOT WORK SELECT "LOAD WINDOWS WITH LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION " AND THEN RESTART. THIS WILL SURELY SORT OUT YOUR PROBLEM.

When i turn it my eee pc on it pops up to where it says windows and thats as far as it will but it will only load up in safe mode

Try restarting your notebook and hit the "f8" key after you see the first screen come up. Keep hitting the F8 key until you see a menu that says "start in safe mode" start in safe mode with networking......
Start in last known good configuration....Start windows normally.

Try using Start in last known good configuration.

Hopefully, that will solve the problem that is hanging up your windows from starting.

Assuming Win-XP? ... When the computer is booting up (before windoes graphics) keep on tapping the F8 key to boot into safe mode. You should then be able to identify what is stopping Windows from booting properly.

- Have you just installed any software / drivers?
- Check the error logs and device manager to see if anything is wrong

Good Luck

My lenovo keeps rebooting..when I select ''last known'' it shuts down and restarts the process again

Try to see if you can boot up the computer into safe mode. Keep pressing the F8 key as you turn on the computer and when it gets to the boot menu choose "Safe Mode".

If you can get into safe mode then go into the start menu and go into the system tools folder and then choose system restore. Choose a date on the calendar when the computer was last working properly and let the system reboot and hopefully that will take care of the issue.

If you can't get into safe mode or windows normally then that means windows is corrupted and you'll need to wipe out the drive completely and reinstall the OS and device drivers.

Windows will not open ask to start in norm, safe, safe with network or in best known working order

Jeff Phelps,
You can try to reboot into safe mode (by pressing or tapping the F8 key on boot), and running an antivirus scan, and other diagnostics, if it will, or just select "Safe Mode" from the screen you're on and let us know if Windows boots. If you haven't yet tried "Last known good configuration", then you may want to select and try that first.
Good luck.

I think you may need to repair your installation of windows XP or if that doesnt work, just reinstall it fresh.
